Jorgensen Builders, in collaboration with interior designer Edy Keeler, accepted the challenge of creating spaces with an updated contemporary feel to showcase the homeowner’s distinguished collection of Southwestern art in this remodeled home. This display of meaningful artwork reflects the Southwest’s history and cultural identity. It was important to take the effort to install museum quality lighting to properly accentuate the color of paint which was carefully selected to illuminate the story of each work of art.
The walls of the master bath were moved to create more functionality and increase space while allowing for more natural light.
The carpeted stairwell was reconstructed with LED-lit tiles and a new hand-forged wrought iron stair rail was installed to complement the black and white patterned tiles.
To enliven the kitchen, an architectural LED backsplash integrating a custom design was installed by GLASSplash. The pattern was inspired by traditional Southwest style features to continue the blend of historic and modern elements throughout this customized home.
The 3,100 sq ft home is a deeply inspiring Southwest sanctuary for our art loving clients and makes a modern statement. No matter where you are in the house, there is a surrounding view enveloped in beautiful art. Living day-to-day in a space where you always have a view of moving artwork all around you provides nourishing inspiration for the soul.
