Acequia Madre Historic Renovation
Photography by Pilar Law
One of the most historic structures in Santa Fe, The Acequia Madre House was brought into existence by three remarkable women—mother, daughter, and granddaughter—who made significant contributions intellectually, culturally, and financially in Santa Fe and beyond. The house was in need of a roof rebuild and Jørgensen Builders undertook the daunting task to facilitate the project.
Occupied by the Women’s International Study Center, the integrity of the structure has now been carefully re-constructed to its historical significance and serves as a permanent feature to the future work of the Center.
“Jorgensen Builders is an outstanding contractor and stays personally involved in the building process which ensures quality and keeps costs down. Mike is hardworking and a great person to work with.”
